This company was founded through the love of the sesh and all things that make it great!
It all started at the University of Auckland where an unlikely group of students joined alliances and became friends. This friendship was not built on sitting in the same lectures or through labs , but through a mutual love of crippling alcoholism and partying! The bond grew stronger as weekly ‘appointments’ at the student pub turned into huge nights out at local gigs, organising friend exclusive doofs and coordinating new years festivals.
A consistent sesh Wednesday through to Saturday has seasoned us well, we started to learn small tricks here and there. How a bit of sparkle can change your mood completely, how the fireworks on new years look magical through kaleidoscope glasses, and how surreal and supernatural a good drum and bass gig can feel with the colours created by diffraction glasses surrounding you.
If you think back to any decent New Zealand gig you have probably seen one of our fellow frothers. You have maybe even tried on our glasses and realised how we see the world. Personally one of my favourite things to do is pull out kaleidoscope glasses and place them on anyone who seems to be having a mediocre time and watch their face light up. It is surprising how such a small thing can change someone night completely! We consistently found ourselves being pulled over, “I really love those face gems!”, “can I grab some glasses off you?” etc.
We started to do some research, through this we discovered that no New Zealand company offered the same products, everything had to be shipped from overseas, which could be both painful and lengthy! This got us thinking, this is such a great idea, why hasn’t someone jumped on this. Eventually after many months of procrastinating we finally said “f**k it! Let’s do it ourselves!” So now we are here, waiting to see where this adventure takes us.
